Food Free Halloween

This year we are giving out "food free" Halloween Treats. Again this year Halloween pencils, and little baggies each with two balloons and a silly band. Last year we gave out Halloween Pencils and small containers of bubbles.

At our children's school the oldest grade organized the gym with Halloween stations. The teacher did not allow any food prizes, just dollar store prizes.

Allergen Free Candy
Haloween Friendly Treats
Dairy Free Chocolate

Hi, I wish you would really think about NOT giving out balloons. These can be very dangours chocking and latex allergies. See a kid could pull these out and start playing with them well walking around town. If they started stretching them and blowing them up, someone walking by with a latex allergy could go into Ana Shock.

Actually that's not a bad idea. I might be a little concern handing out balloons to little one. But this would be perfect for a school Halloween party. Thanks for the suggestion.

This is my first visit to your blog and I think it's great. I can't believe how much information is on here. I'm sure there are many others who appreciate what you're doing.

I also wanted to add that I think your food free Halloween was a perfect idea - still playful without the worry.

I work for Food Network Canada and was wondering if you'd like to share any bits of information regarding dietary restrictions etc. on our forums at http://community.foodnetwork.ca/forums/
I'm sure there are plenty of people looking for helpful sources.

If you'd like to get in touch with me please do, voutmezguine@canwest.com

Thanks!
