Last week I got a nasty wasp sting on my little finger. My finger swelled and turned red, but I did not have an anaphylactic reaction. My finger was swollen for days. I iced my finger, I waited a few minites after the sting, before operating any heavy machinery including my car. I did not want to be driving while a reaction turned from bad to worse.
When I got home, like most parents I had children’s benadryl, and most first aid equipment, but nothing for adults, I took the older kid dose of benadrl, and it was enough to reduce the swelling, and my finger was and is fine.
