Spice of Life

On the way back from Niagara Falls we went to Spice of Life near Port Dolhouse in St. Catharines.

My daughter had dairy free pizza with vegan cheese. I had the vegan Cesar Salad with avacado.

The menu had a lot of dairy free items, as well as gluten free menu items. When we arrived we told the waitress about our daughter's allergy. She asked how severe her reactions were, if she has contact reactions, and even asked if we had any other food allergies.

Many of the items are seasonable, and catering services are available. They also have cooking classes.

The patio area has a view of a pedestrian walkway, nestled in little shops and restaurants. We sat indoors with view of the park nearby. The prices were very reasonable and the food was excellent.

Spice of Life is about a twenty minute drive from the Canadian Niagara Falls, and a block from Lakeside Park Carousel along a lovely beach and Marina. After our meal we took a few carousel rides at 5 cents a ride!

Update from Spice of Life: We are taking a retirement from the restaurant industry. We do not know when we'll "come out of retirement", but we do expect to be back soon. In the meantime, we are continuing our cooking classes and our catering services.
