Ruth of Best Allergy Sites and Jennifer B of Food Allergy Buzz are planning the next Food Allergy Twitter Party. The theme is Back to School with Food Allergies but feel free to bring all of your food allergy related tips and questions.

Everyone loves to get goodies at parties. The kids these days seem to expect goodie bags at any and all parties. They gave away some great prizes from food allergy aware entrepreneurs and advocates at the last Twitter Party and they plan to do the same this time too.

There have been requests for a Twitter Party tutorial, so they are planning to do one about 2 weeks before the party itself. Stay tuned for details.

Yesterday I was at my first Twitter Party, hosted by Food Allergy Buzz and Best Allergy Sites I even acted as a panelist on the second round.

With quick snippets people had multiple conversations about food allergies, popular topics included nut free tables/ rooms, difference between lactose intolerance and milk protein allergy. People shared their favorite free from foods, epi pen carriers, concerns over social situations and other food allergy ideas. I saw familiar Bloggers and Tweeters, and some new faces.

With quick tweets, no in depth discussions that would have become interesting, very quickly with so many people in the allergy community. In some ways I prefer E-mails for exchanging ideas, but the fast paste activity of the #foodallergy Twitter Party was very exciting. There were prizes too!

Ruth Smith of Best Allergy Sites, and Jennifer B of Food Allergy Buzz are collaborating to host the Food Allergy Twitter Party on Friday, May 15. The party will take place on Friday May 15 at 12pm eastern time and 10:30pm eastern time (9am pacific time and 7:30pm pacific time).

To follow or participate in the party at 12 pm eastern or 10:30 pm eastern on May 15, visit summize.com, tweetgrid.com or another Twitter real-time dashboard of your choosing, and type in #foodallergy. This will take you to the party where you will see the streaming conversation. During the two party times, you can ask questions of the panelists or make comments on anything food allergy-related.
